This course is an introduction to the immersive world of hand frame drums and collective rhythmic practice. It’s divided into two separate modules and open to all levels, including complete beginners. We provide the instruments.
The first module will introduce you to the technique of lap-style frame drum. The second module is dedicated to the development of rhythmic skills. In this part the use of other instruments (voice, percussive, melodic, clapping…) is welcome. ♥
Throughout the whole course special focus is dedicated to our primary instrument: the body – it’s posture, responsiveness, the role of breath. To cultivate a more intuitive feel, we will make use of different body practices.
